We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Security Officer to join our team and uphold the safety and security of our facilities. As a Security Officer, you will be the first line of defense, responsible for monitoring premises, managing access control, and ensuring a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Duties
- Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and conduct surveillance to detect suspicious activity or breaches of security protocols
- Control access points by verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential hazards or security vulnerabilities
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism using conflict management skills to de-escalate tensions
- Perform first aid and CPR when necessary to assist injured individuals until professional help arrives
- Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and visitor records for accountability and reporting purposes
Requirements
- Proven experience in security roles or law enforcement is highly desirable
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; training will be provided if necessary
- Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems (Closed-Circuit Television)
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques to deter theft or vandalism
- Ability to handle conflict situations calmly and effectively using conflict management skills
- Physical fitness to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods; alertness is essential
- Military or law enforcement background is a plus but not mandatory; relevant security certifications are advantageous
