Customs Brokerage Manager – Licensed CHB | FTZ Expertise | Los Angeles / El Segundo, CA
We’ve been retained by a global, multi-national logistics powerhouse (100,000 employees worldwide) to identify an exceptional Customs Brokerage Manager to lead operations for their El Segundo branch.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a licensed CHB professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys balancing compliance, client service, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Customs Brokerage department, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely entry filings.
- Serve as the licensed professional and local permit holder, representing the organization before U.S. Customs.
- Oversee and process Customs Entries, ISF filings, ACH Statements, Post Summary Corrections, and related services.
- Ensure proper FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) processes and compliance are followed.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members while maintaining a high standard of responsible supervision.
- Act as the primary liaison with U.S. Customs, carriers, CFS facilities, and key customers to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Generate monthly performance and compliance reports, and proactively identify improvement opportunities.
What You Bring:
- Active U.S. Customs Broker License (CHB) required.
- Minimum 3 years of Customs Brokerage experience, with proven FTZ knowledge.
- Strong understanding of U.S. Customs regulations, PGA requirements, and international logistics terminology.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills with a detail-oriented, proactive mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent combination of college coursework and experience).
Compensation:
- Base Salary: $100,000 – $120,000
- Bonus Eligible Benefits Package
- Full-time, exempt position | On-site in El Segundo, CA
