Darigold is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Preventive Maintenance (PM) Planner to join our Maintenance team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant operations by developing, scheduling, and optimizing preventative maintenance activities. The PM Planner will collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to reduce downtime, extend equipment life, and support Darigold’s commitment to operational excellence.
Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm
What You Will Do
· Develop, plan, and schedule preventative maintenance work orders for plant equipment and systems in alignment with reliability and production needs.
· Maintain and optimize the plant’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate data entry, updates, and reporting.
· Coordinate PM schedules with operations and maintenance leadership to minimize disruption to production.
· Analyze equipment history, work order data, and failure trends to improve PM strategies.
· Ensure all PM procedures are documented, up to date, and compliant with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
· Collaborate with maintenance technicians to confirm work instructions, parts lists, and job plans are complete and effective.
· Work with the storeroom/inventory team to ensure necessary spare parts are available prior to scheduled PMs.
· Track and report on PM completion rates, compliance, and effectiveness.
· Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability.
· Act as a liaison between maintenance, production, and engineering teams to drive proactive equipment care.
What You Bring:
· 3 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or reliability engineering in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
· Strong knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance principles.
· Proficiency with CMMS systems (EAM, ORACLE, SAP, Maximo, or equivalent).
· Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems.
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
· Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
· Dairy, food processing, or beverage industry experience.
· Familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and predictive technologies (vibration, thermography, oil analysis).
· Lean or Six Sigma training/certification.
