Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing Services to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care within a long term care facility. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of assisted living, nursing home operations, home health, hospice care, and acute care environments. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong management skills, a comprehensive understanding of medical and nursing practices, and the ability to oversee all aspects of nursing administration. The Director of Nursing Services will ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, maintain high standards of resident care, and foster a collaborative team environment. Must have RN License to be considered.

Duties
- Oversee daily nursing operations across various departments including assisted living, home health, hospice care, and acute care settings.
- Develop, implement, and monitor resident care plans in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Supervise nursing staff, including nurse management and shift management, ensuring proper staffing levels and performance standards.
- Review medical records, documentation, and medical terminology to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and EMR systems for efficient documentation review and data management.
- Ensure adherence to Medicare guidelines and other regulatory requirements related to resident care and billing processes.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary team efforts to optimize resident outcomes while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives by reviewing documentation, conducting audits, and implementing improvements based on findings.
- Provide leadership in staff training, development programs, and performance evaluations to promote a high-performance culture.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and care protocols relevant to nursing practice.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in nursing administration within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health agencies, or hospice care environments.
- Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership skills in managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of resident’s

- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, Medicare requirements, and healthcare compliance standards.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to oversee shift management effectively.

- Exceptional communication skills for coordinating with staff, residents’ families, regulatory agencies, and healthcare providers.
