Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will lead the estimation process for large-scale projects, ensuring accurate cost projections and competitive pricing. This role requires a deep understanding of construction estimating, project management, and contract negotiations, with a focus on delivering precise and comprehensive bids that align with project goals and client expectations. The Senior Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to develop detailed estimates and support successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed construction estimates using Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating software tools.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and contract documents to prepare accurate cost assessments.
- Perform quantity take-offs and pricing for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Lead negotiations with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and terms.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals, ensuring completeness and compliance with client requirements.
- Collaborate with project management teams to establish budgets, cost control measures, and schedule considerations.
- Review contracts and scope of work to identify potential risks or discrepancies that could impact costs or timelines.
- Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies to improve estimation accuracy.
- Support project teams during execution by providing cost analysis and change order evaluations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong background in construction management or related fields.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and subcontractors.
- Strong understanding of construction site operations, contracts, cost control, and pricing strategies.
- Ability to interpret complex construction drawings and specifications accurately.
- Effective project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Construction site experience is highly preferred to understand practical aspects influencing estimates.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with analytical thinking capabilities.
- Relevant certifications or training in construction estimating or project management are advantageous.
Pay: $150, $175,000.00 per year
