Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Construction Estimator at Darcon Construction Inc in Elmont, NY. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing a comprehensive estimate for public works projects. Responsibilities include review specifications, review drawings, provide takeoff & pricing, obtain sub pricing and prepare bids for submission to agencies. Familiar with excel and plan swift/on screen takeoff software, minimum 10 years' experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a Estimator in Public Works.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standards.
- Solid understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
