Field Floater Technician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The below duties and responsibilities outlined below are related to working in the field serving as a floater with responsibilities from Well Tending, Compressor Operator to hauling product which will require a CDL license.

· Repair and troubleshoot manual and automated controls on compressor units to optimize compressor throughput;

· Maintain a safe operating environment;

· Lock out tag out identification and verification;

· Perform zero hour overhauls of various equipment;

· Record and analyze clearance readings as well as pressures, temperatures, volumes, run hours, etc. to optimize maintenance forecasting;

· Provide troubleshooting of dehydration units and flare systems;

· Repair and troubleshoot manual and automated controls on compressor units to optimize compressor throughput;

· Use computerized database to receive work orders; record data gathered and recorded repairs;

· Drives and operates the Tank Truck picking up, hauling and unloading various oil field related fluids. These fluids are pulled from various oil field locations where the fluid is collected in tanks or other containers. These fluids may include a variety of well bore fluids such as fresh water, brine (salt) water, crude oil, frac fluids and other associated well servicing fluids

· Must Keep DOT records, daily maintenance reports, log books;

· Keep detailed records of hours and services performed for invoicing;

· Will be required to fill in at the gas plant when necessary;

· Participate in on-call rotation schedule;

· Required to adhere to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and any other job specific safety protection;

· Perform other duties as assigned;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·Hands-on related experience specific to the oil & gas industry;

· Be familiar with pipeline locating equipment and materials;

· Must maintain valid drivers license as well as CDL certification;

· Will be required to add HAZMAT credentials to CDL license.

· Must possess at all times and maintain throughout employment with a valid state license and driving record satisfactory to the company and insurers;

· Must be accountable and take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details and follow work rules;

· Must be flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment. Consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanor/attitude with co-workers, clients, vendors and regulatory agencies;

*Must be able to pass a criminal background check, dot drug test and motor vehicle check.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Walk long distances, including to remote areas where footing may be unsteady;

· Dig with hand shovel and probe bar to locate pipe, which requires good physical strength, constant hand, arm and leg movements, often for extended periods;

· May be required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; stooped, kneel and/or crouch; for extended periods of time;

· Work is both inside and outside, completely dependent on need and location; may be exposed to both hot and cold climates in all weather conditions;

· Extended hours required in emergencies, on projects and/or other related circumstances at unspecified frequency;

· Required to carry cell phone and be responsive to after hour emergencies and other work related calls, at night, weekends and holidays; Regular exposer to moving mechanical parts; fumes and/or airborne particles and toxic chemicals;

· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately low;

· May be required to lift up to 100 pounds with our without assistance;

· Frequent exposure to outside elements and inclement weather conditions;

· Frequently moving of mechanical parts, working in high sometimes precarious places;

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
