What are the responsibilities and job description for the AM Baker & Line Cook in busy Coffeeshop position at Dara Bistro?
Dara Bistro is currently hiring one Morning Baker/Line Cook. This position will have you acting as a baker 2 days a week, and a breakfast cook 2 days a week. Responsibilities include keeping your station stocked for service, dishes when able, and cooking basic Breakfast sandwiches, Pancakes, and the rotating breakfast special(IE Biscuits and Gravy). The Baking days will have you baking muffins, biscuits, and bagels, and making and shaping bagels for the next day. We have an open kitchen, and in the morning food is ordered at the counter, so it is a social, happy little place to be. About u of our customers come in at least twice a week, we find that aspect rewarding, getting to know folks. We really appreciate a friendly attitude, cleanliness, and a sense of urgency. pretty much everything else can be taught, however this is an independent position, after learning to do the job, you are expected to be self managed and able to communicate with the other kitchen folks well.
