Position Overview: As a Behavioral Specialist, you will work hand-in-hand with the Program Director and staff to provide essential behavioral support and programming for our youth. You will employ evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices to help young people navigate challenges, develop important life skills, and engage fully in our Club activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborative Youth Engagement: Work one-on-one and in small groups with youth, consistently providing behavioral support under the guidance of the Program Director.
- Conflict Resolution: Assist in conflict resolution, implementing strategies that empower young people to communicate effectively and solve problems constructively.
- Development of SEL Programs: Collaborate with the Program Director to design and implement Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) programs that nurture emotional intelligence and resilience.
- Program Monitoring and Improvement: Evaluate program outcomes against target goals in conjunction with the Program Director, making recommendations for adjustments to better meet the needs of our members.
- Behavioral Planning: Work closely with the Program Director to develop and implement individualized behavior plans that support youth in achieving their personal goals.
- Staff Supervision and Support: Support program staff in determining effective behavioral strategies, ensuring all youth are engaged and participating successfully in Club programming.
- Accurate Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records related to member progress and interventions, ensuring all data supports program goals.
- Training and Development: Lead training sessions for staff and youth, as directed by the Program Director, to foster a culture of learning and growth.
- Implementation of Prevention Programs: Collaborate with the Program Director to run prevention programs that promote positive choices and reduce risky behaviors among youth.

Job Type: Part-time
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- After school
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Education:
- Bachelor's (Preferred)
Experience:
- Behavior management: 2 years (Preferred)
- Working with people with autism: 1 year (Preferred)
- Experience with children: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
Ability to Commute:
