What are the responsibilities and job description for the SOC Compliance Manager position at Dao Emerging Technologies?
DAO Emerging Technologies, Inc. is currently looking for an experienced SOC Compliance Manager to assist with overseeing its SOC compliance. The ideal individual will have previous experience working with SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 reports, along with a working understanding of IT related systems that the reports cover.
DAO is a small technology company that develops applications used in direct-store-delivery route accounting, which includes financial data. DAO also hosts its on onsite data center.
*This is not a remote position, position works out of our Virginia Beach, VA Headquarters*
Responsibilities:
- Lead in the testing and review of internal controls and the ongoing assessment of the internal controls environment
- Provide guidance on best practices regarding control design and implementation to the Control Owners
- Monitor control deficiencies and support management in the resolution of process issues and development of remediation plans
- Provide frequent status and analysis to management on the status of internal controls and issues identified
- Create and maintain process and procedure documents that relate to internal controls
- Attend SOC related meetings and compile meeting minutes
- Review ticketing system(s) to ensure all required items are tracked in relation to internal controls
- Other related tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years’ experience working with SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2
- 3 years’ experience designing, testing, and reviewing internal controls
- Knowledge of securing network technologies, client, and server operating systems
- Auditing experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized
