What are the responsibilities and job description for the MIDDLE SCHOOL SPECIAL EDUCATOR position at Danville School?
Danville School seeks a special educator to join our amazing middle school team to provide direct service and case management for students. The middle school team (grades 7-8, approximately 50 students) operates as a strong, supportive team of four subject area teachers, a school counselor, and a special educator.
The ideal candidate will exhibit a love for students, strong organization and management skills, flexibility, creativity, and an ability to work well with students and parents.
The applicant must be able to coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings, be knowledgeable of special education law, complete and maintain special education paperwork according to Vermont state regulations, and work collaboratively as part of student-centered teams of special educators, classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, interventionists, and related service providers.
