Danville Community College (DCC) is seeking an energetic, innovative and student-focused Workforce Career Coach/Enrollment Navigator to work with students interested in noncredit, high-demand credentials associated with the Workforce Credential Grant Program (WCG).
The Workforce Career Coach/Enrollment Navigator will recruit and assist students through a non-credit program that leads to high-demand employment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Recruiting students of all ages and backgrounds
- Career and educational planning
- Program admissions
- Financial Aid
- Work experiences
- Job placement
- Key data to Workforce Educational System (WES) non-credit software management system
- Support student persistence and program completion by implementing retention strategies
- Assisting students in overcoming barriers to success and connecting students to supportive services in the region, including the services of the One-Stop Career Centers, as appropriate
- Assisting with the completion of non-credit financial aid and scholarship applications, eligibility determinations for programs and funding, as well as other duties, as assigned
- Participating in ongoing professional development to advance the college mission and initiatives
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

- Knowledge of, training, and/or work experience in counseling, human resources, social services, or a related field.
- Pursue the Virginia Career Coach certification within 12 months of hire, with the goal of obtaining those credentials.
- Excellent communication skills and the demonstrated ability to collaborate with all stakeholders to include the public, community colleges, workforce partners and employers.

Salary : $45,000 - $54,000
