Job Summary:
As a Rental Counter clerk at Danvers Ford, you'll be the friendly face customers meet when renting a vehicles. You'll handle reservations, process rental agreements, and ensure a smooth, professional experience from start to finish. This role blends customer service, administrative precision, and a love for cars.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customer and assist with vehicle inquiries
- Process rental agreements and verify documentation
- Explain rental terms, insurance options and vehicle features
- Coordinate vehicle availability and ensure timely pick-up and return
- Inspect vehicles for damage before and after rental periods
- Maintain accurate records and update rental management systems
- Handle payments, deposits and resolve billing issues
- Collaborate with service and sales departments for vehicle coordination
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve complaints professionally
- Ensure vehicles are full of gas and clean for customers
- This is a 40hr/week full time role
- Consistent attendance and strong time management skills
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree is a plus)
- Previous experience in customer service, automotive, or rental industry preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with rental software
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass drug and background check
