Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Gym Manager to lead day-to-day operations and support the long-term success of our training programs. Beginning May 1, 2026, the Gym Manager will work a Tuesday–Saturday schedule, serving as a hands-on leader during all class times while providing coaching support, supervision, and guidance to both staff and athletes. This role combines on-floor coaching with flexible administrative responsibilities, including scheduling, communication, program planning, and staff coordination—tasks that may be completed on-site or remotely. The position offers an annual salary (paid bimonthly), four weeks of paid time off during scheduled gym closures, and one additional flexible PTO week each year, with added opportunities to earn supplemental income through private lessons and performance-based incentives.
Job Duties
- Provide hands-on coaching during all class times from Tuesday through Saturday
- Supervise athletes to ensure a safe, supportive, and productive training environment
- Lead daily floor operations, ensuring classes start on time and run efficiently
- Deliver high-quality instruction and feedback aligned with gym standards
- Support staff during classes, offering guidance, problem-solving, and communication
- Build positive relationships with athletes, families, and team members
- Represent the gym’s values, culture, and professionalism during all interactions
Responsibilities
- Oversee administrative functions including scheduling, communication, and record-keeping
- Coordinate staff schedules, meetings, and responsibilities
- Assist in program development, planning, and seasonal organization
- Manage internal communication to ensure clarity and alignment across the team
- Maintain high standards of safety, facility cleanliness, and operational consistency
- Monitor class attendance, program needs, and overall gym flow
- Complete administrative tasks either on-site or remotely to ensure smooth daily operations
- Seek opportunities to support gym growth through private lessons and incentive-based programs
Requirements
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- Active USAG (USA Gymnastics) Professional Membership in good standing
- Completion of all required USAG annual training and safety courses
- Previous coaching or leadership experience in a gym, fitness, or sports environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and priorities efficiently
- Comfortable working Tuesday–Saturday and being present during all class times
- Ability to complete administrative responsibilities both on-site and remotely
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, positive, and athlete-centered environment
