What are the responsibilities and job description for the Install & Integration T&S Cabler Tier I position at Dansources Technical Services?
We are currently seeking a skilled professional for the role of Install and Integration, Test and Selection Cabler Tier I. This position plays a vital role in supporting the customer’s computer data communications systems by providing maintenance for equipment and infrastructure. Responsibilities also extend to managing physical infrastructure inventory, conducting remote site installations, and overseeing equipment decommissioning. The role requires involvement in installations scheduling, collaboration with customers during periodic recapitalizations, and assistance in logistical movements of associated hardware.
JOB DUTIES:
Operates under general supervision and may provide leadership to other installers.
Availability for travel to multiple remote customer sites is a key requirement, with travel expected to range from 60% to 70%.
Regular communication with customers, Operations Leadership, and/or cabling supervisor to stay informed of changes in work tasks and deadlines.
Provides local infrastructure support to T2 Teams.
Efficiently communicates daily taskings to site leadership to ensure timely completion of deadlines.
Acts as the primary focal point for all site equipment installation and cabling work.
Contributes to maintaining a safe work environment for all crew members by adhering to the Company’s commitment to providing a safe and healthy workplace.
Updates customer prints and documentation as required.
Completes work orders, material transfer forms, and other documentation required by the company.
Pursues ongoing education through corporate or specialty courses.
Demonstrates familiarity with network IT equipment installations and physical cabling mediums.
Possesses foundational knowledge of OSI Layer 1 concepts.
Familiarity with Microsoft Visio and ServiceNow.
Previous experience in running and installing cable for IT equipment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate must have 3-5 years of experience, which can be a combination of work history and education. Must comply with DoD 8570 IAT Level 2.
Required Clearance: TS/SCI CI Poly.
Additional required qualifications include the ability to travel to multiple remote customer sites to complete project requirements.
