Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming and in-stock product to ensure it meets company quality standards and matches approved confirmation samples. This role identifies and reports quality concerns, maintains inspection records and data, and coordinates sample requests for internal departments, sales representatives, and customers.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
1. Inspect incoming production and in-stock inventory as assigned.
- Compare product to confirmation samples.
- Verify labeling, dimensions, packaging, and overall product quality.
- Completes required inspection and receiving documentation.
- Communicates quality concerns to the Returns/Quality Supervisor and appropriate departments.
2. Inspect 100% of first production.
- Complete required receiving and inspection documentation.
- Provide feedback regarding quality concerns or discrepancies to Sourcing and the Returns/Quality Supervisor.
3. Repackage product as needed and assess damaged product.
- Determine whether product is damaged and document concerns as required.
- Provide replacement packaging for retailers as requested.
4. Receive and inspect seasonal sales samples.
- Complete required receiving and inspection documentation.
- Coordinate sample accuracy with Sourcing.
5. Coordinate sample requests for sales representatives, sales shows/events, customers, and other departments. Track and communicate sample requirements as needed.
6. Coordinate seasonal rotation and organization of the sample room and sample library.
7. Collect, maintain, and report inspection data and documentation as required.
8. Provide back-up support for receiving, returns, and mailroom activities.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify and communicate product quality concerns.
- Strong knowledge of Dansko product.
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete inspection documentation.
- Ability to work independently and follow established inspection procedures.
- Ability to lift 30–50 pounds.
Preferred Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate preferred.
