What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector Part Time position at Dansko?
Job Summary:
Responsible for inspecting product. Compares product to confirmation samples. Identifies concerns and report issues to Quality Supervisor. Collects data from inspections. Coordinates sample requests for multiple departments and customers.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for inspecting all incoming shipments and completing inspection paperwork (percentage of inspections will vary).
2. Responsible for verifying incoming production matches confirmation samples and advises Quality Supervisor of concerns.
3. Responsible for Quality inspections of current in-stock inventory as instructed by supervisor.
4. Responsible for receiving and inspecting 100% of first production. Completes receiving paperwork and provides feedback to Sourcing.
5. Responsible for re-packaging product and determining if product is damaged. As requested, provides replacement packaging for retailers.
6. Responsible for verifying incoming production has correct labeling and dimensions.
7. Receive and inspect seasonal sales samples. Complete receiving paperwork. Coordinate accuracy of samples with Sourcing.
8. Coordinates sale sample requests. This includes samples for sales representatives, sales shows/events, and customers.
9. Coordinates seasonal rotation of sample room and library.
10. Provides backup support for receiving/returns.
11. Provides back-up support for mailings/mailroom.
12. Assists with other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Ability to manage multiple projects.
Good organizational skills.
Good communication skills.
Strong knowledge of Dansko product.
Able to lift 30 - 50 pounds.
Preferred Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalency certificate preferred.
