Job Summary
The Part-Time Retail Sales Associate provides excellent customer service by assisting shoppers, answering product questions, and supporting daily store operations. This role involves maintaining an organized and welcoming sales floor, processing transactions accurately, and helping achieve sales goals. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys working with people in retail environment.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists customers in finding correct size or particular type of merchandise.
- Stocks merchandise and restocks shelves making sure merchandise is put in its proper place. Keeps the outlet looking neat and attractive.
- Operates cash register, makes change, and processes credit card transactions.
- Responsible for verification of cash draw daily.
- Processes merchandise returns according to department operating procedure.
- Responsible for making sure the lobby going into the outlet is attractive and merchandises the products in the outlet.
- Checks stock for consumers who may call on the phone; gives directions on how to locate the outlet; and answers other questions from callers.
- Responsible for receiving and documenting incoming shipments
- Responsible for inventory accuracy (checking sizes, etc.)
- Involved in Physical Inventory (2x a year)
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- Great Communication skills
- Pleasant, friendly manner of dealing with customers.
- Willingness to work Saturdays, some holidays.
- One to two years retail experience preferred.
- Able to lift 30 - 50 pounds.
Preferred Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
