Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to manage and organize electronic records related to inventory, shipments, and logistics. The role includes creating standard operating procedures (SOPs), tracking inventory, and working alongside forklift and crane operators to ensure efficient loading and unloading of trucks and boats. Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work in outdoor conditions are essential. Previous experience in logistics or inventory management is preferred. A valid TWIC card or ID is required to access the facility, with bunkhouse accommodations available for out-of-town candidates.
Responsibilities
- Record and organize electronic files and follow predetermined procedures for same.
- Work independently while identifying processes and then create SOP documentation to support same.
- Maintain electronic records of inventory, shipments, and logistics-related documents.
- Work with forklift operators while loading and unloading trucks.
- Track and record inventory before loading and unloading trucks.
- Work with crane operators while loading and unloading boats.
- Track and record inventory before loading and unloading boats.
- Maintain open and effective communication with team members, including forklift and crane operators.
Qualifications
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions, in an outdoor setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including email / document writing skills
- Self-starter, able to pick up new concepts fairly quickly
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Previous experience in logistics, inventory management, or a related field is preferred.
