Overview:
A Deepwater Operator D is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of process and utility systems, ensuring safe and efficient production while under supervision in offshore environments.
Responsibilities:
- Under supervision, start up, operate, monitor, and shut down process and utility systems.
- Monitor and optimize process parameters (level, flow, temperature, pressure, etc.).
- Under supervision, conduct sampling and take action based on results.
- Troubleshoot to optimize sales quality and delivery volume.
- Under supervision, maintain discharge water quality within guidelines.
- Under supervision, operate electrical/hydraulic control panels, safety devices, and Fire and Gas Systems.
- Submit accurate daily production reports as required by company and client.
- Witness third-party calibrations to verify meter factors and volumes.
- Under supervision, prove export oil meters.
- Under supervision, operate offshore production facilities according to customer requirements.
- Test, calibrate, maintain, and inspect equipment.
- Complete mandatory paperwork required by customers and government agencies.
- Coordinate logistics for the facility.
- Handle chemical treatment processes.
- Facilitate maintenance operations by applying/removing isolations as needed.
- Operate under the Permit to Work (PTW) system, conduct Toolbox Talks, and perform Risk Assessments.
- Advise maintenance personnel on plant and equipment hazards.
- Maintain clear communication during maintenance operations.
- Supervise activities of vendors and subcontractors.
- Foster effective working relationships and a positive work culture.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Some offshore experience preferred.
- Most be able to successfully pass onboarding and certification requirements.
