About the Role
As a Key Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving Danone’s commercial success in Romania by developing strategic partnerships with key modern trade clients. You will be responsible for delivering sustainable growth across our product categories—Fresh Dairy, Plant-Based, and Specialized Nutrition—through customer-centric strategies, data-driven insights, and effective negotiation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the Key Account strategy in alignment with Danone’s business objectives and category priorities.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with assigned retailers, understanding their short- and long-term strategic and financial goals.
- Lead annual negotiations and joint business planning, ensuring optimal terms, promotions, and margin management.
- Translate shopper and customer insights into actionable plans to drive category growth and improve shelf performance.
- Monitor and manage account budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and ROI optimization.
- Conduct regular business reviews with customers, leveraging scorecards and performance metrics.
- Champion the use of customer P&L and channel profitability tools to enhance decision-making.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Trade Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless execution of plans.
About You
Your Profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Key Account Management within the FMCG industry.
- Proven success in managing and growing categories.
- Strong understanding of Modern Trade dynamics and category/channel management.
- Analytical mindset with solid financial acumen and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent negotiation and selling capabilities, with a customer-first approach.
- Fluent in English;
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Valid driving license.
