Maintenance Parts Room Clerk

The Parts Room Clerk is a self-driven/self-motivated individual capable of working proficiently, both independently and as part of a team. The successful individual must have a passion for safety and be able to foster effective working relationships built upon trust and respect within all levels of the organization. Incumbents safely and efficiently perform assigned tasks to enable the production of quality products at prescribed standards while minimizing material waste and loss. The position overseas and actively participates in daily activities surrounding the upkeep of parts room to maintain top efficiency and eliminate down time, receives and issues correct parts supporting the daily operation of the facility. Incumbent executes standard operating procedures developed for purchasing parts and maintaining the Maintenance Storeroom. This role is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, order receiving, stocking, and all associated follow-up documentation, inventory management, cycle counts, maintains min/max parts/supplies inventory, kitting, and delivery as required for Maintenance parts and supplies. Primary contact with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective manner of receipt of parts and supplies. Proactively communicates with coworkers across the plant in a cooperative manner as it pertains to order status, maintenance parts, cost, or outstanding maintenance items. Maintains overall maintenance parts/supplies inventory.

Ability to learn all functions of job and complete required training for position within a reasonable amount of time

• Able to work overtime when required
• Flexibility

Education and Experience

• High School education or equivalent
• Better Processing School completion a plus
• 18 months previous parts room/inventory experience
• Achieve and maintain required certifications
