Restaurant Cleaner/ Porter

Job Summary

The Restaurant Porter/ Cleaner is responsible for deep cleaning and sanitizing the restaurant after closing hours/ before Opening. This role ensures the restaurants meets hygiene, health, and safety standards and is fully prepared for the day’s operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform deep cleaning of kitchen, dining, and service areas
• Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces and equipment
• Wash floors, walls, and surfaces using approved cleaning products
• Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly
• Clean and disinfect restrooms thoroughly
• Clean woks, fryers, and other kitchen equipment as assigned
• Restock cleaning supplies and report low inventory
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health & safety regulations
• Secure the premises after cleaning is completed
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management

Skills and Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or restaurant experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Reliable and punctual for Early morning/ Late night shifts

Work Environment

• Early Morning/ Late Night hours when the restaurant is closed
• Fast-paced commercial kitchen and dining areas
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, wet floors, and heavy equipment
• Several different restaurants

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move moderate-weight items
• Repetitive cleaning
