About the Position
As an ASE Automotive Technician with Danny's Automotive, you must be a team player with a professional and mature attitude, good communications skills, and a willingness to grow with the company.
You will diagnose all types of customer concerns, prepare estimates, and complete repairs to specifications. You should be proficient in suspension and alignment work; basic engine diagnostics; and advanced preventative maintenance on most current domestic and foreign makes and models.
Responsibilities include:
- Alignment service and repairs
- Air conditioning and automatic temperature control systems service and repairs
- Electronic transmission diagnostics, service, repairs, replacements, and overhauls
- Engine repairs, reseals, replacements, and overhauls
- Advanced fuel control, delivery, engine management
- Ignition systems service and repairs
- Electronic and hydraulic brake system service, repairs, and replacement
- Electrical, electronics, and passive restraints service and repairs
- Steering and suspension service and repairs
- Exhaust systems and catalytic converters service and repairs
Other responsibilities include:
- Researching vehicles for repair information and service bulletins
- “Translating” diagnoses and necessary repairs to individuals who may not have the technical knowledge to clearly understand
- Keeping abreast of new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions
- Teaching and mentoring associates
- Keeping management aware of problems as they occur
- Consistently taking the extra steps needed to achieve customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
ASE Automotive Technician requirements:
- ASE certified
- 3 years of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem solving, and repair experience
- Customer-focused attitude
- High level of motivation
- Strong leadership skills
- Welding skill is preferred
- Familiarity with Mitchell, ShopKey, Idenifix, Hunter, and factory scan tools are preferred
