What are the responsibilities and job description for the Call Center Representative position at Dannemora Federal Credit Union?
A DFCU Call Center Representative may serve as the initial point of contact for our members. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping others, with strong listening skills, has empathy, always remains professional, and pays attention to detail.
Hours may vary slightly, generally 8:00-4:30 Monday through Friday, with a rotation of every 3rd Saturday 8:15-12:00.
Essential Functions Responsibilities:
- Answers calls, listening to the needs of the caller, while providing routine information concerning services and directs member to appropriate department for specific information and service.
- Provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members and coworkers.
- Processing transactions (transfers, loan payments, cashier checks, money orders, visa payments, etc.)
- Proactively seek opportunities to identify appropriate products and services for the betterment of the member.
- Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience:
Up to six months of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.
- Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
Computer skills.
- Microsoft Office experience preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Attention to detail and accuracy a must.
