Job Summary
The Construction Site Representative I will be assigned to various types of projects (civil, electrical, wiring, and grading construction) throughout the SCE territory. This role will be responsible for understanding, administering, and managing a Contract between SCE and the construction contractor. This individual will be the single point of contact between the onsite construction contractor and the SCE Project Manager. The individual will coordinate and work closely with various SCE stakeholders for project.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None.
Key Responsibilities
This position is on-site with work schedule to be determined by supervisor. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to move about the inside and outside of the location to access office equipment, etc. The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a computer, copy machine, etc.

- Manage SCE Safety and Environmental Issues onsite
- Manage Contract, Cost and Schedule for Project
- Facilitate Construction Plan and Sequence
- Manage Quality and Inspection
- Mandate Substation Job Site Work Rule Policies
- Facilitate daily tailboards
- Prepare Contractor dailies
- Prepare weekly project reports
- Manage material onsite
- Initiate CIR process
- Perform quality and inspection, logged Book 1 inspections
- Prepare project closure documents
- Maintain and enforce safe work practices
- Communicate to SCE stakeholders on project status or issues
- Oversee and verify receipt of As-Built drawings from Contractor
- Prepare Field Change Orders for approval and processing
- Initiate/Coordinate move plans and outage request as assigned

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Candidates shall possess 6-12 months experience in substation construction, construction management, or a closely related field
- Experienced in Substation Contract Management
- Experienced in Substation Construction
- Understanding and interpretation of substation prints, power flow and nomenclature
- Understands safe work distances and clearance procedures while working in energized substations
- Strong skillsets in Microsoft Office products
- Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent experience preferred.
- Regulated utility industry experience preferred.
- Travel up to 25%.
