At Danis, we’re more than just managers; we're passionate builders. With a dedicated focus on the craft, our Project Managers are assigned to just one, or at most two, projects at a time. This ensures they're not stretched thin across various responsibilities, allowing for a balanced workload and a deep commitment to each project's success.

Duties:

  • Work with Project Director to establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
  • Oversee total construction effort to ensure project(s) are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with client and A/E contacts to facilitate construction activities.
  • Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures etc., as required.
  • Represent the company in project meetings.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect the company’s interests and simultaneously maintain a good relationship with client(s).
  • Plan, coordinate, and/or supervise activities of all company personnel on assigned project(s).
  • Maintain official project log and documentation files.
  • Implement Safety Programs.
  • Provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required.
  • Perform additional assignments and assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate executives.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of industry practices, processes, standards, etc., and their impact on project activities is vital.
  • Solid leadership skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to meet or beat project schedules.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Four-year Engineering or Construction Management degree.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager with an at-risk (self-perform), General Contractor; building university, health care, commercial, retail, parking structures, and industrial type projects.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing on-site, at-risk, $5-10 million commercial and institutional projects.
  • Extensive experience in building multiple project types (especially health care) as a Project Manager with a per project value in excess of $5,000,000.
  • Stable employment history.
  • Profitable project track record.
  • Beat-the-budget self-perform labor track record

Working Conditions:

Spends much of their time in an office environment, many assignments are based at an on-site job office, either at their desk or meeting with management, architects’ clients or subcontractors. Often travels locally by automobile to others’ offices. Often walks around the construction site where weather and conditions can reach extremes.
