Position Overview
Daniels Design & Remodeling is seeking a high-performing Project Manager to lead the execution of custom residential remodeling projects from pre-construction through final completion. This role is responsible for delivering projects on time, on budget, and at a high level of quality, while creating an exceptional client experience. The Project Manager owns all aspects of their projects — including planning, scheduling, financial performance, subcontractor coordination, and client communication. Project Managers at DDR typically manage 2–3 projects simultaneously, producing $2M–$4M annually, and are expected to operate with a high level of autonomy, accountability, and professionalism.

Core Responsibilities
Project Ownership & Execution
- Lead all phases of construction from mobilization through punch list and closeout
- Fully understand and manage each project’s plans, scope, and contract documents
- Identify and resolve scope gaps, conflicts, and field conditions proactively
- Make informed decisions that prioritize client satisfaction, schedule, and budget
Scheduling & Planning
- Build and maintain a detailed, realistic construction schedule which aligns with company goals
- Plan and coordinate work 3 weeks ahead
- Proactively manage trade partners to maintain production flow
- Adjust schedules as needed while maintaining overall project targets
Financial Management
- Manage each project to meet or exceed budgeted gross profit
- Review budgets weekly, individually and with the Production Manager
- Create and manage change orders with proper pricing, scope clarity, and schedule impact
- Make daily decisions that align with efficient use of management time and company resources
Trade Partner & Field Coordination
- Clearly communicate scope, expectations, and sequencing to subcontractors
- Lead pre-construction and ongoing coordination meetings
- Ensure all materials and selections are ordered, delivered, and ready ahead of installation
- Maintain jobsite organization, cleanliness, and professionalism
Client Experience & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client during construction
- Lead weekly client meetings and manage expectations proactively
- Provide clear, consistent updates on progress, schedule, and next steps
- Maintain a professional presence that reflects DDR’s brand and standards
Quality Control
- Ensure all work meets DDR quality standards and industry best practices
- Perform regular site inspections and enforce trade accountability
- Manage punch list completion efficiently and thoroughly
Systems & Documentation (Buildertrend)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project information in Buildertrend:
- Daily logs and progress updates
- Schedule updates
- Client communications
- Photos at key milestones
- Approve invoices and track job costs accurately
- Complete trade partner checklists for quality and payment approval
Qualifications
- 3–7 years experience in residential construction or remodeling project management
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with project management software (Buildertrend preferred)
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
