Vacation Rental Cleaning Partner- Independent Contractor

About Us

Avocet Stays, formerly Stays By Danielle Liana, is a locally owned, growing full service Vacation Rental Management company. We have been operating in The Klamath Basin and currently manage 14 properties including locations at The Running Y. We manage everything from guest communication, property design, and day to day operations. Our cleaning partners play an essential role in caring for our clients’ homes and preparing each property for arriving guests.

Applicants MUST meet all three requirements:

• Provide a valid, current certificate of liability insurance before beginning work and maintain coverage throughout the partnership.
• Pass a drug screening and background check before receiving property access or accepting assignments. Our cleaning partners work inside our clients’ homes, so these screenings are required.
• Have previous professional residential cleaning and/or vacation rental cleaning experience. Personal housekeeping experience alone does not meet this requirement.

Compensation

• $75–$300 per clean, based on property size and scope
• Flat-rate pay structure
• Payment issued upon completion
• Opportunity for recurring assignments and an ongoing partnership

Schedule

• Cleaning window begining at : 10:00-11:00 AM
• All assigned turnover cleans must be completed by 4:00 PM
• Weekday, weekend, and holiday assignments available
• Scheduling based on reservations and contractor availability
• Potential for up to seven cleans per week during peak season; volume varies with bookings

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough turnover cleans between guest stays
• Prepare each home to a guest ready, hotel quality standard
• Change linens, make beds, and ensure a polished presentation
• Clean and sanitize kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living spaces
• Restock essential items and report inventory needs
• Report damage, maintenance concerns, stains, or missing items promptly
• Submit required photos for quality control
• Follow property specific checklists and procedures using mobile apps
• Communicate clearly and be responsive with our operations team
• Respect our clients’ property, privacy, and home security

Required Qualifications

• Operate an established, licensed and bonded cleaning business
• Carry current liability insurance and provide a valid certificate of insurance before beginning work
• Successfully complete a drug screening and background check before being approved for assignments
• Have previous professional residential cleaning and/or vacation rental cleaning experience
• Have reliable transportation to properties within approximately 30 miles of our service area
• Provide your own cleaning supplies and equipment
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to meet turnover deadlines
• Use smartphone apps for checklists, photos, communication, and task management
• Partner with us as a 1099 independent contractor

Vacation rental cleaning experience with online travel agencies such as Airbnb or Vrbo properties is preferred, but experienced professional residential cleaners are welcome to apply.
