Danieli USA, the American subsidiary of Danieli & C. SpA, is a dynamic organization currently expanding its operations. We are a team of diverse and talented individuals who value innovation, professionalism, and work-life balance. We are seeking a passionate Junior Mechanical Designer to join our Ashland, Kentucky team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting senior engineers with designing and developing mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery.
Responsibilities
- Develop assembly and detail drawings of mechanical equipment from basic engineering or reference equipment using 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Perform calculations and analysis for product development and design
- Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to solve engineering problems and optimize designs.
- Ensure that projects are completed on time and under budget
- Participate in meetings, reviews, and presentations to communicate project progress and findings.
- Support manufacturing and production processes by providing technical expertise and troubleshooting issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines in all engineering activities.
- Learn and apply new technologies, software tools, and engineering principles to improve skills and knowledge.
- Complete comprehensive training program at Danieli headquarters in Buttrio, Italy
Technical Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field
- 0-5 years of experience in mechanical design or related field
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
