Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in:
- Pre-Operative Nursing
- PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)
- Operating Room Circulating
- Current BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and patient communication skills.
- Perform comprehensive pre-operative patient assessments and preparation.
- Provide post-anesthesia recovery care and monitor patients in the PACU.
- Serve as a circulating nurse during surgical procedures.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff.
- Accurately document patient care and maintain medical records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing staff education.
- Maintain a professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care.
