Direct Reports
- Sommeliers
Wine Program
- Mentoring the Sommelier team
- Assist the Wine Director in training the Sommeliers and dining room staff
- Help developing the Wine program at large, as well as the seasonal wine pairings
- Coach the Sommeliers and dining room team to maintain the restaurant standards
- Assist in monthly inventory tasks
- Develop relationships with guests
- Oversee Dining Room, Bar and Private Dining Operations
- Actively participate in service
- Discipline, train, and assist with wine service
- Assist in interviewing and hiring potential dining room candidates when needed
- Actively seek out new members for our dining room team to ensure a proper foundation as the restaurant grows and develops
- Act as a supervisor and mentor of service and extern teams and facilitate their growth via skills training and daily mentorship
- 2 years Michelin-star restaurant experience required
- 2 years management experience required
- Strong knowledge of worldwide wine regions, grape varieties, style, producers, and vintages
- Strong beverage knowledge in major spirits, cocktails, and hot beverages
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Capability to teach and mentor others
- Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks
- Ability to adapt and make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
