Anticipated Elementary Classroom Teacher PC - Kindergarten

Elementary Classroom Teacher

7 1/2 Hours per day

Basic classroom teachers will collaborate with and assist the Special Teachers in art, basic skills, music, reading and physical education when needed. Special Teachers shall have the same major duties and responsibilities as traditional classroom teachers.

Requirements for the Position

• Experience level
• Satisfactory completion of student teaching is the minimum.
• Education background
• Proper Pennsylvania certification in subject or special field area.
• B.S. or B.A. Degree is the minimum.
• The individual's credentials are in compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations governing individuals functioning in the capacity of this position.

• Plan and deliver instruction
• Encourage all students to learn well
• Maintain and report information on pupil progress
  
  

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach the subjects required in the curriculum and planned course documents of the school district
• Prepare and submit written lesson plans as a basis for the day's activities
• Be responsible for specified building duties as detailed by the elementary principals
• Attend all faculty and building meetings
• Participate in all in-service and training activities
• Perform such additional responsibilities as may be determined by the Board of Schol Directors and the district administration
• Be familiar with district policies and execute said policies as may be required and in the manner required by the school's administration
• Plan and initiate parent-teacher conferences when desirable
• Contribute to the development of the annual instructional budget
