Description of Duties: The Busser supports the service team by ensuring the dining room is clean, organized, and fully stocked before, during, and after service. Guest Service & Support - Greet guests in a courteous and professional manner while clearing or resetting tables.
- Assist servers by refilling water, delivering bread or condiments, and providing additional utensils or napkins as requested.
- Anticipate guest needs and communicate requests promptly to the appropriate team member.
- Provide attentive, friendly, and efficient support to ensure a positive guest experience.
Table & Dining Room Maintenance - Efficiently clear used dishes, glassware, and utensils as guests finish dining.
- Reset tables with clean linens, silverware, and glassware promptly and neatly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining room, service stations, and surrounding areas.
- Ensure tablecloths, floors, and chairs remain clean and orderly throughout service.
Supply & Equipment Support - Refill and restock bread, condiments, beverages, silverware, and other service items as needed.
- Keep bussing carts, side stations, and service areas well-stocked and tidy.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of buffet areas, banquets, or special events when required.
- Notify management promptly of any shortages, maintenance issues, or damaged equipment.
Health, Safety & Compliance - Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures when handling dishes and tableware.
- Adhere to company policies, uniform standards, and appearance guidelines.
- Follow safety protocols and immediately report any hazards or incidents to management.
- May be required to assist guests in a semi-enclosed terrace where smoking is permitted.
Teamwork & Collaboration - Work closely with servers, hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Offer assistance to teammates during busy periods to maintain service excellence.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding guest concerns or operational needs.
- Participate in a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and collaboration aligned with the company’s mission, vision, and values.
- All other duties as assigned.
