Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and organized Shipping Coordinator to join our team. This position is responsible for coordinating outbound shipments of finished goods, maintaining accurate shipping records, and ensuring all trailers are loaded correctly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is critical.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping Coordination

• Compile outgoing load schedules according to customer needs and efficient routing.
• Ensure all finished products are accurately labeled, stacked, and positioned in the correct staging area.
• Coordinate closely with forklift operators and loaders to ensure the right product is loaded onto the right trailer.
• Communicate with truck drivers and dispatchers to provide clear instructions and accurate load details.
  
  

Documentation & Systems

• Use warehouse or inventory management systems to enter and manage outbound shipment information.
• Maintain accurate shipping records, including order numbers, quantities, and trailer assignments.
• Print and organize bill of ladings (BOLs), packing lists, and other required shipping documents.
• Verify that all documentation matches the physical load and customer order specifications.
  
  

Logistics & Communication

• Monitor and adjust the shipping schedule as needed to meet changing production or customer demands.
• Work with internal departments including Production, Scheduling, and Customer Service to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
• Address and resolve issues related to order discrepancies, delays, or trailer availability.
  
  

Facility & Safety Support

• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety protocols and housekeeping standards.
• Support loading operations by communicating clearly with forklift drivers and plant personnel.
• Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures.
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working in noisy and variable temperature environments.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily job duties.
• Availability to work extended shifts, weekends, or holidays as required by the shipping schedule.
• Basic computer skills required; experience with shipping or inventory systems is a plus.
