We’re looking for a hands-on Production Technician to join our oil-free compressor manufacturing team. You’ll be assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing compressors, while working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure top-quality products and efficient operations. Responsible for the mass production of various models of oil-free compressors by performing and participating in component preparation and line assembly operations. This role includes troubleshooting, repair, testing, and collaboration with engineering and management to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
This is a second shift position, working 3pm to 1am, onsite at our facility in Tallahassee, FL.

Key Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing
- Troubleshoot rejected compressors, identify root causes of test failures, and perform necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and managers to develop preventive measures and improve First Pass Yield (FPY).
- Process refurbished (RF) and customer-returned (CFM) units, preparing them for re-entry into the production line.
- Perform compressor validation testing on VTT units in the R&D Lab.
- Operate various equipment and tools, including hydraulic/pneumatic presses, air wrenches, and pressure test stands.
- Conduct burst tests on units per quarterly requirements.
- Perform mechanical assembly, functional testing, material handling, and other related operations as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workplace.
- Comply with quality policies, procedures, and instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, and environmental responsibility.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of related experience and/or training.
- EPA 608 certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical or manufacturing field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing compressor issues and implementing effective repairs.
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in operating machinery and tools (hydraulic presses, air wrenches, etc.).
- Attention to detail for quality assurance and compliance.
- Ability to clearly convey technical information and collaborate on process improvements.
