The Maintenance Technician provides support to Plant Operations in installing, repairing and maintaining production equipment throughout the plant, under instruction or with the assistance of Maintenance Technician II. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and the Team Leader.

Productivity: Ability to meet or exceed productivity goals, manages time wisely, stays on task requiring little supervision to get the job done.
Team Work: respects others, shares information, gives & receives feedback, works interdependently with co-workers to accomplish team goals. Works with others to resolve conflicts.

The employee has the potential to be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The Maintenance Technician provides support to Plant Operations in installing, repairing and maintaining production equipment throughout the plant, under instruction or with the assistance of Maintenance Technician II. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and the Team Leader.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems to the faulty component.
- Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using volt meter, Megger and other test equipment.
- Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems
- Repair and Maintain Fanuc/ABB Robotics and CNC Machines, including Mazak/Makino Machining Centers.
- Replace faulty modules and field components.
- Install and maintain hydraulic circuits in Industrial equipment, including hoses, relief valves, proportional valves and other hydraulic components
- Repair and maintain the operating condition of all industrial production equipment, including Test Stands and devices used to move, lift or convey product.
- Automation troubleshooting to include; A/C and DC Motors, Motor Starters and VFDs.
- Repair Inventory and Quality Control Systems such as Visual recognition, RF ID and dot matrix printer hardware.
- Follow all Safety Rules, including PPE, NFPA-70, NEC and OSHA

What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree preferred.
- Two (2) years hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical or electronic systems a plus but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic/ hydraulic drawings, schematics and engineering blueprints to determine problem root causes and implement corrective action a plus but not required.
- Ability to read precision measuring instruments such as Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Levels, and Lasers a plus
- Strong Computer skills are a plus
- Familiar with fieldbuses (Profinet/Profibus/EIP/DeviceNet) to include extended I/O troubleshooting Team player that's able to work overtime as needed and willing to learn.
