Dane Street, a nationally recognized Independent Review Organization (IRO), is expanding its panel of
Physician Reviewers
. We are currently seeking
Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeons
(Spine experience preferred) licensed in
Mississippi
to perform
Utilization Reviews
.
This is a non-clinical, fully remote role designed to offer
supplemental income
with complete
flexibility
. As a Physician Reviewer, you will deliver objective, evidence-based opinions regarding the
medical necessity of treatment requests and appeals
. This is not a treatment role—
no patient contact
,
no exams
, and
no doctor-patient relationship
is established.
Key Responsibilities
- Review medical records and treatment plans for medical necessity
- Apply state-specific workers' compensation guidelines and national evidence-based criteria
- Deliver clear, concise, and well-supported determinations
- Complete reviews within assigned timeframes (usually 1–5 business days)
- Participate in peer-to-peer discussions when requested (scheduled by Dane Street)
- Update determinations if additional medical records are submitted

Requirements
- Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery (Spine experience preferred)
- Active, unrestricted medical license in Mississippi
- Experience with Workers' Compensation cases is a plus
- Must be actively practicing in a clinical setting
