Hours: Full-time, seasonal, Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm from early November until early January
Department: Warehouse and Logistics
Report: Inventory Control and Packaging Manager
Wage:  $28.50/ hour

About Us
Dandelion Chocolate is a bean-to-bar chocolate factory in San Francisco’s Mission District. We make chocolate from only two ingredients, cocoa beans and cane sugar, and travel to origins as often as we can to build good, trusting relationships with the producers who grow and ferment the beans we buy. We’re always on the search for quality cocoa beans, and now we’re looking for a Seasonal Delivery Driver to help all of our locations and deliveries run smoothly.

About the Job
You will be responsible for delivering chocolate and treats to Dandelion Chocolate’s San Francisco locations. You will be the person that we rely on to ensure that all of our retail locations have what they need to be successful whether it’s chocolate bars or paper cups. There’s no such thing as a typical day, but your mornings begin with packing the van with drinks and pastries for our cafes and making the rounds to the Ferry Building and Valencia Street. Later, after all of the deliveries are completed, you assist the Fulfillment team with the afternoon orders, packing up boxes. 

About You
You are the master of time management and efficiently adapt your schedule to the day’s needs and the information flow of delivery requests from other teams. When a street is blocked off for an event, you aren’t flustered and strategically change your driving route -- the delivery will be completed even if you need to walk it there. Once your deliveries are completed for the day, you return to our fulfillment center to assist the team. 

Responsibilities

• Deliveries: Deliver pastries and chocolate to some of our Cafés in San Francisco. 
• Fulfillment: Pack orders for customers, always keeping in mind the customer’s unboxing experience. 
• Tech Skills: Access orders placed by Cafés, Kitchen and Production through our inventory system. Ability to learn Google Suite.
• Communication: If you foresee any issues with deliveries or have any problems, you are sure to communicate proactively with your team. 
• Relationships: Build relationships with team managers and be dependable. 
• Other tasks as necessary.

Requirements

• Available Monday-Friday 7a-3:30p from early November to early January (2 months)
• Willing to drive our sprinter van, clean driving record, and valid California driver's license 
• Able to work independently and help the team achieve department goals.
• Positive, helpful attitude with excellent attention to detail. Willing to accommodate last minute or tricky requests.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Google Docs, spreadsheets, and Gmail.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Comfortable with conversational spoken and written English
