Overview
Join our team at Dandelion Cafe! We are a new cafe in Linville/Newland area, and are looking for a prep cook that will help with creating our delicious and beautiful pastries, and lunch items. Within this role you will have the opportunity to grow your culinary skills with and participate in the creation and inspiration of new specials, desserts, pastries and more! We would love to have you as we hope to establish a strong presence in our wonderful community.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and components for daily menu offerings
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines
- Execute food preparation tasks with precision, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met
- Receive and properly store deliveries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle food safely by following proper handling procedures, storage guidelines, and sanitation practices
Qualifications
- Background or previous experience in the food service or restaurant industry is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment
- Ability to work efficiently and stay organized
- Strong attention to detail
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
