SUMMARY
Performs quality assurance internal audits, perform sample checks and tests during the manufacture of products. Conduct sample inspections of materials, parts, and products at different stages of production. Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes. Familiar with a variety of quality control concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others during process improvement events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
Analyze test data at specified stages in production process, and tests results for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures as required.
Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.
Assists in planning, promoting, and organizing training activities related to product quality and reliability. Investigates customer complaints regarding quality, as required.
Performs other duties at the request of the Director of Quality. Follows all company safety rules and policies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities at this time.

Must be a US Citizen
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
BS or BA degree preferred or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of ISO9000/AS9000 standards, lean and six sigma manufacturing a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations, and perform conversions between measuring units.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.40 - $28.00 per hour
