Entry Level Quality Inspector - 3rd Shift
- Must be at least 18 yrs old
- 9a to 5:30p, Sunday night through Thursday night
- Responsible for final inspection of all processed parts
- Reviews, approves and documents paperwork thoroughly and accurately
- Requires high level of attention to detail
ABOUT THE JOB
Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily
- Verify temperature and pH readings from 1st and 2nd shift.
- Do morning titrations and morning re-titrations.
- Verify tank additions match add sheets.
- Sign off on pH readings of outgoing effluent twice per day.
- Do afternoon titrations. Do re-titrations if required.
- Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas. Audit production processing for conformance to work instructions. Audit customer's purchase order, shipping documentation, technical process sheet, and shop traveler for consistency.
- Sign certifications if all documents match.
- Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, color, and/or chemical characteristics.
- Do final inspection on all processed parts, from 1st and 2nd shift.
- Investigate, document, and monitor rejects (internal and external). Record data, applying statistical quality control procedures. Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Track quality on returned shop travelers.
- Review on-hold shelf as required.
Weekly
- Do extended titrations.
- Send Black Dye samples out for analysis.
- Prepare ADT Test Panels.
Monthly
- Perform calibrations.
- Prepare and scribe test panels for outside lab analysis (Arcadia only).
- Prepare solutions for outside lab analysis.
- Submit Quality Tracking Report to management.
- Recommends, to management, modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

None.
SKILLS:
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
