Dance Instructors Needed for Children Ages 2-10
Dancing Little Stars mobile dance company is looking to hire teachers for our 2025/2026 dance season. We are looking to hire instructors that are willing to teach classes in the Naples and Estero areas. Dancing Little Stars southwest Florida is locally owned and operated and brings dance to schools & recreation centers within Lee and Collier counties!
We operate in preschools, elementary schools, and community centers during the day Monday-Friday. Classes are 30-60 minutes in length. We pay per class based on experience and offer growth potential within the company. Scheduling is flexible; we can work around if there are some afternoons or mornings you are not available. You’ll be at the same locations at the same times each week, and you will need to commit to the entire dance season.
There are opportunities for bonuses and raises during the season. Dance curriculum is provided to you as well as various class aides. Instructors have creative freedom to plan classes using our trademark curriculum. We provide continuous support throughout the season for all of our instructors and have a training program to make sure you are confident going into your first class and every class after that. We strive to make dance class fun, magical, and something our dancers look forward to all week.
We are looking for instructors who are:
- Responsible, doesn't require continual oversight and communicates well
- Committed: our instructors are contracted for a full dance season through the beginning of June
- Safety-conscious, whose #1 priority is the safety of each child in their care
- Caring, engaging with each child through specific and positive affirmation
- Confident with 10-12 children in class at one time
- Organized and plans ahead
- Energetic, excited, and always ready to make class fun!
- Have reliable transportation
What we teach:
Most of our classes are preschool ballet, tap, and hip hop combination classes with some of our classes being beginning dance classes for elementary school aged children including some jazz dance. We keep our classes fun and exciting for our dancers with our trademark curriculum. Most importantly we want to teach our young dancers to learn the love of dance, and the technique will follow. Sure, we want you to have some dance experience, but more importantly you will need to be capable of handling a group of 10 three year olds and love teaching every class. It is imperative that you enjoy working with children and are passionate about it.
We host a full scale recital at the end of each season. Music and choreography are provided. In addition to the requirements above, instructors must pass a DCF Clearinghouse background check.
