We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Dance Teacher to support our dance studio classes. Responsibilities
- Assist lead dance instructors in delivering structured dance lessons across various styles such as ballet, theater dance, and contemporary.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and disciplined environment conducive to learning.
- Help with curriculum development and adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse student groups, including children, preschoolers, and adults.
- Engage students through tutoring and personalized attention to enhance their dance skills and confidence.
- Participate in classroom setup, organization of materials, and preparation of teaching aids such as photography or sewing projects related to costume design or props.
- Contribute to behavior management strategies to ensure safety and respectful conduct during classes.
- Support event preparations for performances or showcases, including costume fittings or theatrical elements if needed.
- Collaborate with team members on classroom experience improvements and innovative teaching methods.
Skills
- Background in dance will be preferred but not needed.
- Experience working with children, preschoolers, or students with special needs; background in childhood development or early childhood education is a plus.
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Ability to engage students through tutoring and adapt teaching strategies for different age groups and skill levels.
- Excellent communication skills for effective classroom instruction and collaboration with team members.
