What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dance Instructor position at Dance Variations?
Our dance studio is looking for 1-2 new teachers to join us for our upcoming 2026-27 season, running through May 2027, and possibly the 2026 summer session. We also have competition choreography opportunities.
Requirements:
***DANCE RESUME REQUIRED***
Please do not add a resume that does not include dance experience.
Must have at least 2 years of dance teaching experience.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must be willing to participate in a background check.
Must be willing to sign on for the entire 2026-27 season (August to May).
Job Duties:
Creating lesson plans for classes.
Creating choreography for short routines throughout the season, as well as the annual recital in May.
Creating a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment for our dancers.
About our studio:
As a whole, we offer classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, tumbling, acro, lyrical, and integrative dance, and our ages range from 2 to adult! We are going into our 9th season and offer recreational programs, as well as a performance group and competition team. We strive to maintain a family friendly, welcoming environment for dancers of all ages and skill levels. We have been told we are the friendliest studio in town. :)
