Dance Arts Academy is a long-standing Boise dance studio passionate about creating a positive, energetic, and inclusive environment for dancers of all ages. We are looking to add a dynamic Hip Hop instructor to our teaching team who can inspire, motivate, and nurture students ranging from beginners to advanced levels.
Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Hip Hop Dance Teacher to teach students ages 5–18. Curriculum and class structure will be provided, and you will have the freedom to bring your own energy, creativity, and teaching style to the classroom. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with kids and teens, thrives on sharing their passion for dance, and wants to be part of a collaborative studio environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach hip hop classes for ages 5–18, beginner through advanced levels.
- Implement provided curriculum while adding your own personal style and flair.
- Create a fun, safe, and positive classroom environment that encourages growth and confidence.
- Provide age-appropriate instruction with clear technique, terminology, and choreography.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Attend occasional studio events, performances, or meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience with children and teens strongly preferred.
- Strong background in Hip Hop and knowledge of current styles/trends.
- Ability to connect with students of all ages and inspire confidence in their learning.
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
- Must pass a background check.
Schedule & Pay
- Classes held weekday afternoons and evenings.
- Part-time hours based on availability and studio needs.
- Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
