Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Dance Instructor to lead engaging Dance Camps for our Summer Session. In this role, you will lead dynamic classes and foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and joy. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your love of movement and performance with a vibrant community.
Must be comfortable teaching children as young as 5 and up to 10 years old.
Seeking someone proficient in K-Pop, jazz, contemporary, and/or hip hop styles/forms.
Duties
- Develop comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different ages and levels
- Lead engaging, energetic dance classes
- Lead supplemental camp activities such as crafts, games, etc.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all learners
- Incorporate elements of choreography, lesson planning, and performance preparation into class sessions
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching dance styles such as K-Pop, hip hop, jazz, etc.
- Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to diverse learners including children
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and education practices relevant to young dancers
- Experience working with children or in special education settings is highly desirable
- Ability to foster a positive learning environment while managing classroom behavior effectively
