Essential Functions
- Provide day-to-day fiscal and administrative support to the Director of Family, School, and Community Partnerships and the Chief Financial Officer in such tasks as managing payroll, purchase orders, credit card payments, electronic deposits, budgeting, and other financial processes.
- Manage all financial functions for School Readiness, Extended Learning Programs, Summer Programs, and going to the bank to make deposits, ensuring compliance with District, Town, State, Federal, and grant requirements.
- Maintain and manage Veritime for ELP, FLC, FRC, and School Readiness staff; prepare payroll uploads to the central office; provide staff cost breakdowns for grants and reporting purposes.
- Authorize purchases and payments in accordance with budget parameters; coordinate budget control and monitoring; prepare financial documentation and assist in budget development.
- Maintain accurate financial records, files, and documentation (electronic and paper) related to program operations.
- Generate and compile financial reports and data to support grant management, audits, strategic planning, and program oversight.
- Utilize and maintain proficiency in financial and student information systems, including Infinite Visions, ProCare, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office Suite; embrace automation and digital systems to improve workflow efficiency.
- Support process improvement initiatives by defining, refining, and adapting operational procedures as program needs evolve.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse staff, families, and community members; demonstrate cultural responsiveness and strong interpersonal skills.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial, personnel, and student information at all times.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Minimum qualification of high school diploma or equivalent.
- 24 years of progressively responsible secretarial, senior secretarial, or financial administrative support experience, preferably in a school district or public organization.
- Knowledge of general accounting standards and state and federal compliance requirements.
- Experience with Infinite Visions or comparable financial software preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel) and Google Workspace; ability to pass an intermediate-level software assessment.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to manage changing priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual ability a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively using a team approach.
- Willingness to learn and develop proficiency in education-related software systems.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- 52-week position. Full-time schedule (35 hours/week).
- Wages in keeping with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Danbury Public Schools and UPSEU, Grade 4.
- Hourly wage in accordance with the union contract.
