Mechanical / Plumbing Project Manager
Danboise Mechanical, Inc., or “DMI,” located in Farmington, Michigan, is a full-service mechanical contractor providing Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical services to commercial and industrial companies of all sizes. We are looking to add an additional Mechanical / Plumbing Project Manager to our team who will report directly to our Director of Projects. The ideal candidate would have prior experience as a Mechanical / Plumbing Project Manager.
- Provide management for all plumbing, piping, and HVAC projects that will be assigned to you.
- Set up projects in our management software, create schedules of values (SOV).
- Review all awarded contracts to ensure contracts match the key financial, business and project points provided by DMI in estimates/bids.
- Collect, review & distribute material submittals.
- Create project specific information books.
- Able to read and understand mechanical, HVAC & plumbing plans and specifications.
- Responsible for the procurement of vendors and subcontractors for projects.
- Attend weekly progress meetings for updated scheduling and to coordinate with subcontractors on the projects.
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of the company’s execution of mechanical & plumbing projects, including coordination of supervision, labor, and subcontractors, ordering materials, and overseeing any applicable project logistics.
- Assist Superintendents to oversee DMI’s safety protocols on mechanical & plumbing projects.
- Supervise all activities of DMI personnel and subcontractors on projects
- Develop Mechanical & Plumbing project work business opportunities and drive the receipt of mechanical & plumbing project work awards from DMI’s current and prospective customers.
- Complete accurate and timely changer orders for all projects that you will be managing.
- Manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Manage and track all change orders.
- Attend company staff meetings for coordination with other company divisions.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
- Proficiency in corresponding with clients, construction managers, field staff, subcontractors and others that you will interface with during the course of a project.
- Proficient at blueprints and technical specifications.
- Clear understanding of construction methodology.
- Prior experience as a Project Manager is required.
- Construction Management Certification a plus but not required.

Compensation details: 80000-100000 Yearly Salary
