Duties

• Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Load and unload merchandise, ensuring safe lifting practices during heavy lifting tasks.
• Deliver products directly to customers’ locations, providing exceptional customer service and addressing client inquiries professionally.
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing sales opportunities during deliveries.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records for each trip.
• Build positive relationships with clients through clear communication, prompt service, and professional conduct.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving or automobile transportation, with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and DOT regulations to ensure safe and compliant deliveries.
• Basic math skills for pricing calculations, inventory counts, and transaction processing.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and coordination with team members.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices to prevent injury.
• Retail store experience or merchandising skills beneficial for understanding product placement and presentation.
• Organizational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently and handle multiple stops seamlessly.
• Customer relationship building abilities to foster trust and repeat business through friendly service.
